CRS Signs Letter Supporting Flood Reform Legislation

Today, we joined 32 total organizations on a coalition letter to the House of Representatives, expressing our support for advancing H.R. 2874, the 21st Century Flood Reform Act. The legislation reauthorizes and makes meaningful reforms to the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP). Though it is projected to cost $129 millionĀ over the decade, we believe the long-term savings will be much greater than that.

Just a few of the diverse signers include:

National Housing Conference (NHC)
National Apartment Association (NAA)
National Association of REALTORSĀ® (NAR)
The Manufactured Housing Institute (MHI)
Leading Builders of America
International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC)
Institute of Real Estate Management (IREM)
Habitat for Humanity International
Taxpayers for Common Sense
Small Business & Entrepreneurship Council (SBE Council)
R Street Institute
National Taxpayers Union (NTU)
National Wildlife Federation (NWF)
Conservatives for Responsible Stewardship (CRS)
American Consumer Institute (ACI)
