Congressman Justin Amash of Michigan’s 3rd District holds the distinction of being the most fiscally conservative Member of Congress in either party. His votes in the 114th would authorize just over $8 billion over the next decade.
This record is even more notable considering the fact that Amash has never missed a vote during his time in office, and accompanies every vote with an explanation on his social media accounts.
Amash recently said, “We can’t afford more spending and more debt, regardless of whether it’s demanded by a Democratic president or a Republican president.”
